Meet Our Community

I have recently started a “Meet Our Community” section of my blog.  The inspiration came from mwam8 when she began her “Get Famous” section.  I’d like for everyone to tell their story and a little about their blog.  In addition, I will add your blog to my subscriptions and blogroll for others to refer to.

So go ahead.  We all want to meet you, here.

  1. Me. The long version is L-O-N-G, the short version is this:
Bipolar I, treatment resistant; Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD); Panic Disorder (PD); Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD); Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD); Impulse Control Disorder (ICD). I refer to myself as Alphabet Soup.

Those are the diagnoses I carry, but they aren’t all of who I am. I’m a writer and a reader and I’m beautiful and intelligent and I can love like nobody can. I’m wonderful with kids, I like to take photographs of things I find beautiful and interesting, and I can channel my dead ancestors.

There is a lot more, but so there is to everyone.

My blog is called “I Was Just Thinking. . .” and it’s about lots of things. Spencer Tracy and the dangers of eating copper pennies and war and family conflict and mental illness (of course). I chose not to make it bipolar-specific, but I’m not going to tell you why here. It’s long and I am in the middle of writing something about that for one of my pages, so I don’t want the idea compromised in my head.

    “Goodnight and good news.”

    • How do you suppose that I should take anymore credit than by featuring it on this page? Lol. And I will continue linking to you because you are the one who put it in action!

      • Yeah, well YOU are the one who gave me the idea both for figuring out how to link to pages and videos with their actual title, instead of a bunch of random URL nonsense, and for the importance of a copyright. I need to put all of THAT in my blog somewhere! Nyah!!! (LMAO, I feel like we are a couple of your students arguing, except they are probably better behaved than I!)

Any thoughts to contibute?
